How We'll Help Helpless Animals

Today we're joining Arty and Jakey's "No Tricks, Just Treats For Shelters" blog hop.

Many bloggers in Blogville review pawsome pet products from Chewy.com on a monthly basis. It's a great way to try new things and spread the word about something handy (and often times tasty!) for a pet owner to have.

That's all fun, but what does that have to with helping dogs and cats who don't have homes of their own?

Okay, so usually when we're sent a product to review, we choose to review canned dog food. I can't eat a whole can in a day, and usually 12 cans come in a pack. Usually my mom and I will take the leftovers from what we reviewed (obviously I still get some leftover of course) and either give it to my breeder for his dogs or to a neighbor for her dogs. However, my mom and I will make it a priority to give some of our leftover goodies to a rescue orginization for dogs to enjoy while they wait for their families to find them!

For every blog that joins the "No Tricks, Just Treats For Shelters" blog hop (it runs from the 27th to the 29th) Jakey and Arty will donate $1 to their local shelter (the same shelter their humans adopted them from!). And for every comment they get on their blog this weekend, they'll donate 25 cents to Legacy Boxer Rescue (the orginization Casey and Jessie were adopted from) and Blogville's own Marg's Animals! Marg has lots of cats and a couple of donkeys to care for!

Join the blog hop this weekend and share you have (or plan on) helping shelters near you!
