In June, you may remember the peeps got 7 chicks that were only a day old.

The "chicks" will be 18 weeks old tomorrow.

The chickens have been staying in a small part of their coop for the past couple months because no run was built off it yet.

There was a coop here when we first moved in, but it was in horrible shape. There were even dead chicken skeletons inside. Yeah...

Anyway, the peeps finally finished the run on Saturday (although my mom has had a cold the past few days so she hasn't done too much) and it's basically predator-proof.

The chickens are LOVING the extra space to play and run around! I can't get too close though!

Here are a few cool photos my mom took yesterday of the chickens.

  3. Wow! We've been waiting to see those chickens! They're so cute! There are a few houses in the country on the way to ghostwriter's work where they have chickens (and ducks and geese too!)running around. She always wondered how they knew to stay off the road.

  4. wow the furst one has a fabulous hairstyle... and all that is just nature... and not 87 hours of hard work in front of da mirror... chapeau!
