10 Fun Facts About Dogs

Here are 10 fun, surprising facts about us canines that certainly will surprise you! Us dogs are sharper than you think.

  1. Dogs are as smart 2 year olds.
  2. Dogs can understand up to 250 different words and gestures.
  3. Dogs can do basic math and can count up to 5.
  4. Dogs noses are wet so they can know what direction a scent is coming from.
  5. Dogs actually do see in color, but it's lesser than that of a human.
  6. The only sweat glands a dog has is on its paws.
  7. Dogs have a sense of time, which explains why we always know when it's time to eat!
  8. Dogs can pick up small changes in a human's scent to determine their emotions.
  9. Dogs can hear 4 times farther than humans.
  10. Dogs rock!

  2. And...dogs use their fine hearing to drive their families crazy...by barking at things in the middle of the night that only they can hear!
