So...

From November 19th to the 29th, my peeps, all 7 of them, are driving 20 hours to New York and back to visit their extended family!

Their family has a small farm with cows, chickens, pigs, and now a coonhound mix...I know my mom will have fun with those critters, but she'll miss me and I'll miss her at my breeder's house! Someone will be coming to our house to care of the family cats, my mom's hermit crabs, and my mom's brother's leopard gecko. A friend of my mom's will likely be caring for my mom's 5 week old baby snail, and my mom will be taking her 8 adult snails in a travel carrier with her. She would take me along in a heartbeat if she could, especially because this pup loves to travel!

I wish I could go along! My mom will be sending me pictures of her travels and adventures for me to post, so I'll still be posting daily (hopefully there will be no difficulties). You guys probably know that 4 months ago, the peeps were in Florida (the snails tagged along there, too) but this time is different...NEW YORK? My mom will be 87 kabillion jillion gazillion miles away!

Last year I watched the National Dog Show on the TV with my momma for the very first time, so I can't watch it with her this year...bummer. I know she'll still be talking 87 miles a minute about it when she gets back from NY, so I'm not worried about being uninformed who the Best in Show winner is! My mom will be happy though to be spending Thanksgiving and the rest of the week with the farm animals, her grandparents, her aunts and uncles, and her cousins in the countryside.

She said for me not to be afraid though...the time will fly, and I'll be in her arms once more! She also promised to bring back a little something for me, so that sounds exciting. My mom and I will try to keep in contact with everyone and visit some blogs in our free time, but we won't be around Blogville as much as usual!

Last thing...I've decided to do a contest for you all! Like I said, my mom will find something to bring home for me in New York. I asked my mom if she could pick up one more thing for a critter so I could do a contest giveaway! The first dog, kitty, other critter to correctly guess what I have in common with my mom's great aunt's dog by Friday will get something from New York!

  6. We hope your mum has a great time at her family's house in New York! You are right Christmas, the time will fly by until you are together again. That is quite funny, taking snails on holiday 🐌.
You mentioned not knowing what a cricket bat is, cricket is kind of like England's version of baseball.

  10. We sure hope the Mom and family and a great trip. We know you will get some great care. We think what you have in common with the Aunt's dog is that you are both hounds. Have a great day.

  12. Hey Chris, we know NY state is big, but we live in that great state and were wondering if your mom is going to be any where near Rochester, NY maybe we could meet her? We know she will have a great time and you are going to have fun playing with all the pups at the breeders.

  13. I had to go away for FOUR Days and the Benji was not a happy puppy. He stayed in my room and only came out for "comfort breaks" outside or for dinner. The rest of the time he curled up on my bed and never moved. I hate leaving him and it is not good for his anxiety, but I generally make it up to him when and where I can. So, Benji know you will miss your peeps and we will be thinking about you, Christmas.

  18. Are you both not neutered? I know you aren't Christmas, because of shows so maybe the same is true of your Aunt's pup. Becky
