Around The World in 87 Days: Texas...Again!

This is Christmas speaking!

This week my world tour takes my campaign manager/running mate Oreo and I back to Texas to meet up with a couple of friends! Last week we had no tour because my mom was in Florida, but don't worry, our tour is now back on track! Anyway, Oreo and I went to see Sully in Texas a few weeks ago, so at least my pal and I are familiar with the huge state.

We decided to ride our campaign horse to Texas, just like we did last time. Well, that was a tame horse. I decided a wild horse would make Noodles swoon. Heehee!

Our pals told us to meet them at a nice, sunny park before we embarked on an adventure. However, I did get a little bored just sitting there, so I decided to sing along to some tunes. Good thing I brought my headphones!

Then our friends arrived!

It was 87 degrees out, which is very hot, especially for flat-faced dogs like Casey and Jessie. So our pals showed us to a pawsome water feature in Dallas to get our paws wet...it's called Fountain Place! There were lots of things to see and do there. To get there, we took a nice long hike through a forest. Oreo and I have short legs, so we couldn't too far. That's what Boxer heads are for!

We finally got to the Fountain Place! We had lots of fun getting our paws wet.

Oreo and I got to look down at the water. Well, Oreo looked at the water, and I looked at a tree rat.

And we got to ride horses! Well, horse statues. But still...they're horses. And they were fast...and yes, I was a bit of wimp! I think differently about crazy wild horses now. BOL!

Lastly, we watched the water in another part of the park. Nothing beats getting wet on a hot summer's day! The four of us couldn't help but wish our special someones were there to enjoy the beautiful scenery with us.

We said goodbye to Casey and Jessie and Oreo and I headed to a nearby Wiener Suites. Apparently I've been spelling Wiener wrong this whole time...I've been spelling it Weiner in all of my posts! Here is the Wiener Suites, spelled accurately. Last time we were in Texas we stayed in a smelly old stable...we've learned to find a better place to sleep this time around!

We were exhausted after such a long day!

Hot diggity, Casey and Jessie were pawsome to hang out with! Oreo and I had a great time getting our burning hot paws wet with them in sunny Texas. Come back next week for another fun tour post!

  2. We had so much fun visiting with y'all and showing off our state! I think you need a little more practice before you ride again, though, Christmas -- even on stone horses. BOL!

Fun fact -- the term wiener comes from the city of Vienna, which is Wien in German. They pronounce their Ws as Vs, but we don't, so it got corrupted. :)
