From Lonely To Loved

Welcome back to our Save The Animals week, everyone! I know you all have been missing Chris' posts, but I promise you, he'll be back to posting daily on Monday! Anyway, today's post I feel is a very important one. Today we'll be looking at some dogs from the Releashed Rescue, my favorite dog rescue, and how they found the homes they deserve.

Releashed Rescue is a mostly Siberian Husky rescue in Cumming, Georgia, and I love getting to meet all of their wonderful dogs. Today we'll take a look at a few of those dogs' journeys, and you'll be able to see how these amazing dogs went from lonely to loved.

Onyx

I had the pleasure of meeting Onyx a few months ago. He is a ten year old Husky who lived his whole life outside on a chain until the Releashed Rescue saved him. He had all sorts of health problems that were sorted out, and then he found the perfect someone for him. He went from living hopelessly outside for ten years to living the good life in a loving home.

Here's a photo from the Releashed website of Onyx...I think this is his freedom ride.

Onyx couldn't be a happier boy! Here's a pic of him in his furever home.

Togo

I haven't personally met Togo before, but from looking at this face, I'm sure he didn't last very long! Most of the time the dogs at Releashed are from shelters, so I'm assuming that's where Togo was. But if he wasn't, I'm sure he still needed a good home, and look at him now!

Here's his adoptable picture.

And here's a photo of him in his furever home! First they take over your hearts...and then the bed!

Murray

I haven't met Murray either, but I have seen this photo of him when his time was running out in a shelter.

And here's a pic from the Releashed website of a very happy Murray in his new home!

Graham

I've met Graham once or twice before, and whatever kind of dog he is (he reminds me of a Great Pyrenees with a Retriever), he still needed a home.

After searching for a home, Graham found a great one and it looks like he has a feline friend to spend his days with!

Caiden

Caiden was a dog I met several times. He was super sweet and you can't help but love him. He took an awful while though to find a home, but when he did, I'm sure Caiden was over the moon with tail wagging joy! Below is a photo I took of Caiden a few months ago...

And here's a pic I found of him going to his furever home!

There are millions of dogs and cats out there today who are homeless and need someone to rescue them. The Releashed Rescue does just that, so click here if you'd like to check out their website!

Oh, and here's a shot I took of Jethro a week or two ago, a Releashed dog who still needs a home!

  8. We wish all pups could have a forever home....that is, a home where they're truly part of the family and not left outside. Or on chains and stuff.

  9. Those are all some beautiful and very fortunate dogs to have been saved and then to have found wonderful forever homes. We wish it could be so for all homeless pups and kitties everywhere.
