Questions & Answers

Hello, everyone! At the end of yesterday's post, I informed you all that I would be answering any questions you all might have in a special post. I actually just did this a couple of weeks ago, and it was so much fun I decided to do it again today! Every week or two I'll try to do this...I think it's very important that you all know me well so you'll have more fun on Paw Province! Anyway, let's check out some questions and answers!

OK, we have a question for you . . . do you have any siblings? Oops, got another question . . . what might be your area of interest for college? Your pals, Murphy & Stanley

Great questions, you guys! Yes, I have four siblings! I have a 15 year old brother named Kevin, an 11 year old brother named Paul, an 8 year old brother named James, and a 5 year old sister named Nicole!

Well, to be honest, I don't think I'm going to go to college. I don't want to. When I can get a job, I'll probably start at Petsmart (I think with my pet sitting, dog walking, and dog handling experiences I could have a good resume) and I want to have a future in breeding Bloodhounds.

Of course I'm going to show dogs as an adult (it's too much fun to not show dogs!) so I'll probably offer professional handling services, where people would pay me to show their dogs if they couldn't or didn't want to for whatever reason. Also, I think in my home I could also do some pet sitting like I do now, some neighborhood dog walking, some in home boarding, and I might also start an unofficial dog training program...I love training Christmas for his upcoming CGC (Canine Good Citizen) test and for the show ring, and I also like to study positive dog training and train dogs of my friends and neighbors.

Our question for you is: How did you become so interested in animals and blogging?? Smileys, Dory, Jakey, Arty, and Bilbo

Great question, Dory and friends! Well, when I was really young, like six years old and younger, I didn't really care about animals. I didn't like when dogs licked me or jumped on me, and I was usually too scared to hold animals. It was nothing too severe, but I was really young. Suddenly, when I was about eight or nine, I became obsessed with birds, and since then, I've been an animal crazy person!

Well, with blogging, that's a great question. When I was eleven, I really wanted to start a blog. I wanted to write about pets for a blog, but I felt like I was so much younger then and I kind of just wanted a blog for writing, not to get people to really read my blog. I wanted to share my thoughts with the world, but of course my blog didn't get popular until a year and two months later, thanks to an interview I did with Murphy and Stanley, who have been so supportive of me, along with the rest of Blogville. Also, I felt like I wasn't as good of a writer back then, and my blog has helped me boost my writing skills while learning and making new friends in the process.

HOW MANY CLIENTS DO YOU HAVE AT ONE TIME ON AVERAGE? WHAT IS THE MOST YOU EVER HAD? Okays, so I guess that's really TWO questions!

Great question, Ruby the Airedale! Well, first I'll answer the second question. The most I've ever had was four, and though that doesn't sound like a lot, it can be busy! By four, I mean four different houses and families. All four homes had two pets each! This busy week was actually this past week for Spring break, and I was on my feet all day!

The first question? Well, usually I don't have any pet sitting jobs unless it's a holiday or a break, but usually I do have to let out a few neighbors' dogs while they're at work and maybe take care of a pet for the day during the week. So really, I usually only pet sitting jobs during holidays and breaks as I said, but I have lots of walking and letting out jobs in a week!

How react your own pets when you come home from dog sitting and they smell other dogs? Easy then always tries to "mark" his dad when he smells another dog on him...

Awesome question to wrap it up from Easy the Weimaraner's dad! Luckily, Christmas doesn't react like Easy does. He knows most of my clients, so when he picks up one of their scents on my hands, he just gets really excited! And if he doesn't really know the scent, he's still just as excited, and luckily he's never seemed jealous or...you know, like Easy.

So, I hope you all enjoyed this Q & A post! Like I said, there will be a lot more of these posts in the future!

    1. Thanks, Easy! I hope I end up at Westminster, too. I have to have be the Best Junior in Show seven times in one year to qualify for Westminster. Probably not this year, but maybe next year that could happen. Chris and I just keep getting better, and we're just gonna shoot for the stars.

  3. Hi Robin. I jumped on over to visit your blog and spy, er, see what you were doing with your campaign. Christmas has a great chance of winning with you as his Campaign Manager! P.S. My Mom loves the movie, "Best in Show."
