Selfies With Bandit

I've posted about the cat across the street, Bandit, a few times in the past.

He is a handsome young black tomcat who I pet sit before.

Bandit also has a brother, a gray and white tomcat named Smokey, who I feature on the blog more often because he is the more outgoing of the two.

Actually, Smokey isn't much of a cat.

He thinks he is a dog.

He follows me around, meows at me for treats, and when he knows it's a week that I'm pet sitting for him, he'll meow at our front door in the morning to let me know it's time for me to feed him.

He's all about the food.

Trust me, I always liked Bandit just as much as Smokey, but he had a hard time coming out of shell.

When I pet sit for him, he's more outgoing and there are some headbutts and purrs to go around, but if it's just a normal day and I spot him outside, he'll run away if anyone tries to get too close to him.

However, this week has been different.

When I go in his driveway and call him, he runs right up to me, rubs all over me, and is just as much dog-like as Smokey.

Bandit loves to be picked up (Smokey tolerates it, but he's a bit to heavy to hold for very long!), so I decided that we would take some selfies in the evening yesterday, and he purred the entire time!

The only reason I'm supporting his neck is because he kept rubbing his head all over my face, and those selfies ended up blurry, plus I'm mildly irritated by cat dander!

Here are the better results!

    1. Bandit says he is very happy to meet you too, even though dogs kind of freak him out. :-) Natural light is great for photographing black kitty cats, even if you're using a smartphone instead of a camera!(that's what I was usinh in the selfies) :D
