Here's Proof That Christmas Loves Going to Dog Shows

Good morning, everyone! Today I have a story to share with you all you're sure to enjoy! Chris can be a funny guy sometimes, so you'll like this story. It took place a few months ago, but I never got around to sharing it and it's still pretty funny!

Well, a few months ago, I was going with my friends to go see a dance performance, so I wore my nicest clothes. I happened to wear the same shirt and skirt I wear at the dog shows, so when I came downstairs, Christmas started flipping out! He was whining up at me, sniffing me, jumping up on me, and wagging his tail like crazy.

At first I had no idea what Christmas was going crazy for, but then I realized that he must have thought we were going to a dog show! Before I left, I took Chris outside to do his business, but he couldn't focus on going potty. Instead, he kept pulling and pulling and pulling towards the car! He was set on going to a dog show. If he were a larger dog, he would have knocked me down to get to the car!

I felt bad leaving, especially because Christmas insisted that we go to a dog show. Dogs are just so smart, and sometimes you don't even realize what they're trying to tell you at first! That's what's good about Chris...he'll let you know what he thinks about every situation! Dachshund owners know that you don't own a Dachshund, a Dachshund owns you!

  1. It is indeed amazing how quickly dogs associate one things with another - my boys know when they get a brush - it means it is also time for a walk. At one time they use to nudge their leads to let me know - now they go and nudge their brushes :)

    1. That's so cute! We currently have baby gates up for the new puppy, and one of them is the kind you step on with your foot to open it, so when Katie wants to come in or out of the gated area in the house, she tries to step on the pedal! Of course she isn't strong enough to actually open it! :)

    1. Oh, yes! I forgot to mention that I was also wearing the shoes I wear at the shows, so obviously those shoes smell like dogs!

  5. They are so smart aren't they. My pugs always know that on Monday if I come home and put my tennis shoes on - one of them is going to training class
