Finally, Both of Them Together

I've been wanting to take this photo for a long time.

I have several decent photos of Smokey and a few of Bandit.

Though they are brothers and are both pretty much the neighborhood cats, I very rarely find them both together.

Perhaps it's because they are so different.

Smokey loves pretty much everyone who calls his name, and he loves giving head butts and meowing in your face.

Bandit won't go up to anyone, but if you really know him well, he's happy to be scratched behind the ears.

Because I take care of them every once and a while, Bandit likes me.

He knows that if I'm caring for him and his brother, I'll give him some nice kitty kibble.

On Christmas day, I found both kitties together by their garage, so I couldn't help but snap a photo of the brothers with my brand new camera.

Smokey (who is totally convinced he's a dog) stretches his neck to sniff the camera, and Bandit does what he does best.

Chill out.

Oh, don't you just love these guys?

  1. Unusual to get a straight on shot like that! Very nice!

  2. Photographing black animals is such a challenge! Great job!

    1. Thanks! I find that outdoors black animals look good in photos...well, they do indoors if I use my camera, but I don't even try with my phone...it's just a blur of black! Lol!
