What Are You Pointing At Me?

"Because I'm starting to think it's a camera and that you're going to post the picture you're taking of me on all these animal websites. I think I'm pretty adorable if I do say so myself!"

Do You Like Watermelon?

This little girl is Watermelon, a kitten that was up for adoption. Well, I've heard a nice lady has adopted her! I am absolutely thrilled that Watermelon has been placed in a home! I hope that she will live a long and happy life with her new family and that she will be receiving lots of love from them!

Do You Love Lizzy?

The real question is: who wouldn't love Lizzy?

Teeny, Bumble, & Harold

Today we went to one of our friends' house for a couple hours to hang out. Well, those friends have three wonderful dogs: Harold the English Golden Retriever, Bumble the Pekingese/Maltese cross, and Bumble's littermate, Teeny.

Here's Teeny!

Now meet Bumble!

Last but DEFINITELY not least, we have Harold!

My Weekend in Blairsville

You may be wondering why I haven't been posting for a few days now. Well, I was in Blairsville with my dad visiting our friends who live on a mountain, and I didn't really have time to do any posts. However, those friends have two lovely dogs and two adorable kitties that I took photos of quite often. I believe I might of posted some photos of them before. Anyway, here are some pictures I took this weekend!

Scout is the gentle 12-year-old 110 pound Akita/German Shepherd mix. Kita is the spunky 12-year-old Australian Shepherd mix. Panther (black tomcat) and Chloe aka Coco (gray tabby she-cat) are the 17-year-old spontaneous Domestic Shorthair siblings.

Kita is a very loyal dog, so she decided to sleep with me on the couch. Panther joined in on the fiesta, too. I used the Furminator on Scout and got two bags full of fur! I also gave Scout and Kita a bath. I took Kita for walks on the mountain. Kita and I explored the property of a vacant house Monday morning. We saw broken mirrors and planks of wood in the grass. That afternoon, we took a walk down the road and before I knew it, we were being chased by two little Chihuahuas! They were really cute, but not when they were baring their teeth at Kita and I! I had a great weekend with everyone, especially Kita. Enjoy the photos!

I used an application on our friends' Ipad that takes bizarre photos!

Help The Animals!

Hey, everyone! Okay, so over the past few months I have found a couple of interesting ways to raise money for animals that need forever homes. Both methods are not only creative and unique, but as I said earlier, they both give homeless animals hope.

First off, there is WoofTrax. Download this app on your phone and carry your phone around all day or whenever you take a walk, preferably with your dog. After your walk (or day) choose a shelter or rescue organization and money will be donated straight to them.

Second, we have The Shelter Pups, a website selling realistic stuffed dogs made by a girl named Theodora and her friends. The Shelter Pups are handmade with wool and are made in the United States. Each Shelter Pup has a name, unique personality, likes, dislikes, and a story of why that dog is looking for a home. Now you can even "adopt" cats from the site. The website is designed to look like a real adoption website. The Shelter Pups are rather pricey, but all of the money you bought your Shelter Pup with goes to Theodora's local animal shelter, and that's what really matters.

So, if you're looking for a couple of fun ways to help animals all around the United States, these are two simple ways that also can keep you active and imaginative. Have fun with WoofTrax and the Shelter Pups, fellow animal-enthusiasts!

Jose Is Back

Jose is probably the most beautiful dog I've ever seen. Well, all English Springer Spaniels are the most beautiful canines.

Beautiful, Benched, Black, & White

Let's all take a moment to admire this English Springer Spaniel.

Cute & Quirky

Those are two of the traits English Springer Spaniels carry!

Pretty Springer Growls Like a Lion

Jose the English Springer Spaniel is a beautiful dog, but once he gets riled up, he sure can growl!

Let's Spring Into Fun!

Today is the day when we celebrate our national dog, the English Springer Spaniel! On the 24th of each month we will be celebrating this wonderful dog! Let's start the celebration, folks!

Dogue Day Is Done

Dogue Day is done
Come on, everyone
Find a Dogue in your town
And give him one big hug.

And THAT is the definition of terrible poetry.

The Silent Treatment

This Dogue De Bordeaux got in an argument with this Pug mix. It must of been bad, judging by the look on their faces.

Flat Face Fever

Flat faces bring lots of smiles. Unless you're the Dogue with the flat face. Because if you are, you'll look pathetic like this fella.

So Handsome

I'm diggin' this Dogue.

Pittie/Dogue Mix

This is pure cuteness, people.

How Pathetic

Just look how pathetic this face is.

Look At This Darling Dogue

Gus the Dogue De Bordeaux is the definition of cute. I hope you're taking notes, people.

Drooling Dogue

This Dogue De Bordeaux knows how to drool! Watch as Olive the 3-year-old Dogue (with an unknown gender) drool like the dickens!

Another Dogue Day!

It seems that with the Glogirly interview and a busy day I couldn't fit enough Dogue De Bordeaux puppehs in my posts yesterday. So, let's make today another Dogue Day! And of course, we will be celebrating the English Springer Spaniel on Friday! This is more of a full-fledged celebration, people! I mean the English Springer is the national dog of Paw Province!

But for now.....MORE DOGUE!

500th Post: Interview With Glogirly

Today I had the pleasure to interview cat-lover and humorous blogger Debbie Glovatsky, or better known as "Glogirly" hence the name of her blog. This is actually my 500th post and today Paw Province was created exactly 6 months ago! Anway, back to Glogirly! She has two cats, Katie and Waffles, and the interview will tell you some more things about her.

Have you always been a cat person? If not, what changed your mind about cats?
I love all animals, but (I) really came to adore cats in college when I moved into my first apartment. I didn't have a roommate and decided a furry one might be perfect.

Do you think of yourself as more of a cat parent or a cat owner?
I'm a cat parent.

What do you think about dogs?
I love dogs! I find they are much harder to voice and write funny dialogue for. To me, they're just not as funny as cats.

Have you owned a dog?
(I've had) many!

How long have you been blogging for?
8 years.

What inspired you to start blogging?
Due to a downsizing and massive layoff, I lost my job. I figured I could learn about social media, hone my writing skills and become a better designer and photographer through blogging.

What is your favorite post on your blog?
That's like asking me what my favorite color is! I can't possibly choose. My readers really loved our recent Vacation series. Katie and Waffles joined us on our family vacation in northern Minnesota. I documented the trip with photos and daily blog posts.

What is your favorite Saturday spoof on your blog?
It's really hard to choose...I love doing the Saturday spoofs! My reader favorite was a spoof on The Sound of Music, called The Hills Are Alive With the Sound of Waffles.

What is your personal favorite?
My personal favorite was the I Love Lucy spoof, called I Love Waffles.

Has your blog changed the way you think about your cats?
It's personified them to me and has made me love them even more.

Why do you personally love cats?
They make my home and family complete. They have personalities as unique as any person. They love me no matter what.

Do you ever consider bringing another pet into your home?
Sometimes, but right now we're happy as a family of four.

How many people are following your blog?
I'm not sure...people follow through a variety of avenues. Facebook, via email, Twitter, Networked Blogs, Feedly, Bloglovin'...some just have me bookmarked on their computer so they can catch up on Katie and Waffles while they drink their morning coffee.

How has your blog made an impact on your life?
It enabled me to make friends all over the world and has become the way in which I make my living.
