A New Cat In Town

Hi, friends!

I guess you can say that this is a very important post....

I put off posting about a big announcement for the past couple of days....

Turned out my family and I were kind of busy.

Okay, here's goes nothing.

For a fresh start, let me introduce you to Coop.

Coop is a one year old ticked tabby tomcat.

You may be wondering, "what's the big announcement?".

You see, it has to do with Coop.

Coop is actually the main part of this post.

As you may of guessed, Coop has found a family.

A family that will love him and care for him for the rest of his days.

That family is my family.

Coop is now a Whiskers.

Well, that's not my real last name, but you get the point.

It was just Sunday, Independence Day weekend.

My mom and I went to Petsmart.

My mom was going to help with the cats up for adoption, and I was going to help with the dog rescue.

You can read more about the dog rescue, called the Releashed Rescue, with a post I made with all the photos I took of the lovable dogs. Click here to read it!

Back to little Coop...we spontaneously decided to take him home.

Don't worry, we're very committed to the little guy and understand that a cat is for life.

When we brought Coop home in a carrier the rescue was lending us, he had a lot to say.

His meows are the cutest little things!

We put Coop in my brother's bedroom, expecting him to be extremely fearful like when we brought Cosmo and Phineas home, but we were wrong! He was immediately all curious and affectionate with everybody, even Cosmo and Phineas, who we let into the room.

Now the last step is Frodo.

Yes, Coop has met Katie, and Katie doesn't mind him a single bit, but Frodo is the real problem.

Trust me, he doesn't want to hurt Coop.

We would of never got any cats in the first place if we were unsure of Frodo's intentions.

Let's just say that Frodo is an obsessive dog, and consistently wants to chase and wrestle with Coop and basically any cats, and most cats disapprove of this behavior.

Now Coop here isn't afraid to give Frodo a smack on the nose with a nice long hiss.

Cosmo and Phineas never do that to Frodo.

They're just too nice.

By the end of the summer, Frodo will be very respectful of Coop and hopefully other cats!

Coop is a first class cat.

Do you want a napping buddy? He's the guy for you!

Do you want a playtime buddy? He's also the guy for you!

Do you want an overall buddy? He's quite obviously the guy for you!

Now can you see why we chose Coop?

We would of adopted all the sweet little kitties if we could, but obviously that wouldn't be a good idea.

Especially with Frodo around.

He needs a little training foundation, which I soon hope to establish.

Coop is probably short for Cooper.

Cute name, yeah, yeah, but we want something deeper.

Something more....suiting, earnestly.

I'm really hoping we name him Edison.

It's such a handsome and sophisticated name, and it would fit the intelligent Coop very well.

Some of my family members prefer the names Oliver and Mozzie.

That's where you come in.

Do you have a name in mind that may be good for Coop?

No name is too original or goofy.

Just give us your best shot and that's all we ask for.

When the final decision is made, I'll be sure to update you.

Anyway, thank you for coming by!
